Krugerrand Gold Bullion Coin From South Africa
The Krugerrand minted in South Africa was the world's first gold bullion coin. Originally minted in 1970 the Krugerrand became instantly popular and as a result over 54 million coins have been minted since they were first introduced.
Krugerrands vary in weight from one tenth of an ounce to a full ounce and their price can easily be determined by checking the current price of gold and then adding any numismatic value on top of that. Krugerrands are 22 Karat gold and are quite durable meaning they are not as easily scratched or damaged.
